About me

For more than 30 years, I have supported adults that are experiencing anxiety, trauma, burnout, stress and periods of significant psychological pressure. Working with CEOs, business owners, and other senior professionals it’s clear that whilst individuals are often highly capable and successful professionally, privately they may be experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, burnout or the lasting effects of difficult life experiences. Success does not protect us from psychological difficulties.

In fact, the qualities that often contribute to professional achievement of high standards, determination, responsibility and resilience can sometimes make it harder to recognise when support is needed.

Leadership, professional responsibility and sustained performance can come at a psychological cost. Relentless demands, complex decision-making, organisational pressures, relationship challenges and significant life transitions can gradually affect our health and wellbeing. Over time it can affect our confidence and relationships with others, and sometimes shows up as poor sleep, low mood, physical health concerns or a sense of feeling discontented in life.

Therapy Norfolk

Navigating Life's Demands

Perfectionism & Self-Criticism-High personal standards, fear of failure and a persistent sense that what you achieve is never quite enough. Sleep Difficulties- Difficulty switching off, disrupted sleep or waking with your mind already focused on the demands ahead.

Relationships & Isolation- Relationship difficulties, loneliness or the sense that despite being surrounded by people, there are few places where you can speak completely openly. Life & Career Transitions -Navigating significant changes in your professional or personal life, including changes in role, relationships, identity or future direction.

A Space to Pause, Reflect and Thrive

At Michelle Webster Psychotherapy, I work with leaders and senior professional to address these issues. I provide a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can step away from the demands of everyday life, gain perspective and make meaningful, lasting changes that support your psychological wellbeing, helping you thrive both professionally and personally.

Psychological support does not have to begin at a crisis point and its not a sign of weakness if you reach out for support.

In fact many clients that I have worked with, have wished that they had sought help sooner, as they recognise that therapy has led them to developing better version of themselves, feeling more happier, and content in their relationships and lives. How My Services Can Help You

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be experiencing a specific difficulty, or you may have reached a point where the cumulative impact of pressure and responsibility is beginning to take its toll. I work with adults experiencing: Anxiety & Overthinking-Persistent worry, difficulty switching off, feeling on edge or overwhelmed.

Panic symptoms or concerns about your health. Burnout & Chronic Stress- Exhaustion, reduced motivation, irritability, loss of perspective or feeling unable to sustain the pace you have previously managed.

Trauma & Difficult Life Experiences-The continuing psychological impact of distressing experiences, whether recent or from much earlier in life. Low Mood & Loss of Confidence-Feeling flat, disconnected, less confident or no longer feeling like yourself.

Working Together

Our work together is focused and purposeful, while progressing at a pace that is right for you. Therapy will help us to identify and understand the difficulties that you are experiencing and focus on the areas where change would make the greatest difference. Sessions provide the opportunity to reflect on your experiences, recognise patterns that may be contributing to current difficulties and develop new perspectives, strategies and skills.

The aim is to help you make meaningful and lasting changes that support both your psychological wellbeing and the demands of your professional and personal life. Our work together is shaped around your individual circumstances and what you need from therapy. This may include regular psychotherapy, extended sessions or more intensive periods of work when appropriate. Appointments are available online, providing greater flexibility and allowing therapy to fit more easily around demanding professional and personal commitments. Confidentiality and discretion are central to the service.
